STAHL CraneSystems has played a key role in the refurbishment of a heavy-duty crane used by DB Bahnbau, the railway infrastructure subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn. The modernisation project was undertaken to extend the crane’s operational life and enhance its performance for demanding railway construction and maintenance activities.

As part of the upgrade, the existing crane system was equipped with new hoisting technology and modern electrical components supplied by STAHL CraneSystems. The refurbishment was designed to improve reliability, operational safety, and efficiency while ensuring the equipment continues to meet the requirements of India’s large-scale railway infrastructure projects.

The successful completion of the project highlights the growing importance of crane modernisation across industrial and infrastructure sectors. Rather than replacing existing equipment, many operators are investing in refurbishment programmes to improve performance, reduce downtime and extend the service life of critical lifting assets.
