Super Terminais has added three new electric cranes to its operations as part of its efforts to improve cargo handling efficiency and reduce environmental impact. The investment aims to strengthen terminal productivity while supporting more sustainable port operations through the use of electric-powered equipment.
The newly deployed cranes will enhance the terminal’s capacity to handle cargo more efficiently, improve vessel turnaround times, and optimise container movement within the port. According to the company, the addition of electric cranes is part of a broader strategy to modernise terminal infrastructure and increase operational performance.
The development reflects the growing global shift towards cleaner and more efficient port equipment. For India, where ports are expanding capacity and investing in modern cargo handling systems, the adoption of electric cranes highlights the increasing role of sustainable technologies in improving logistics and maritime infrastructure.
