OMC Floats Tender for Crane at Odisha Ferrochrome Plant

OMC

Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has invited tenders for the installation of a crane at its ferrochrome plant as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen industrial infrastructure. The tender is one of several new procurement initiatives launched by the state-owned company to support operational improvements across its facilities.

According to the tender notice, the crane installation project aims to enhance material-handling capabilities and support efficient plant operations. OMC has also floated separate tenders for a greenbelt survey and related environmental works, reflecting its focus on both infrastructure development and sustainable operations.

The latest tender presents opportunities for crane manufacturers, engineering contractors, and material handling solution providers across India. Industry observers believe such projects will contribute to the modernisation of mining and metal processing facilities while supporting the growing demand for advanced lifting equipment in the country.
