Liebherr has supplied an LHM 550 mobile harbour crane to the newly built Patimban Global Gateway Terminal (PGT) in Indonesia. The crane was delivered in just three months and will enable early container-handling capabilities as the terminal gradually introduces its permanent quay equipment.

The crane is designed for container handling and provides an outreach of up to 54 metres. Its mobile design enables movement along the quay as operations evolve, facilitating both domestic container traffic and general cargo handling.

The delivery package comprises operator familiarisation, commissioning assistance, an extended warranty, and technical support provided through Liebherr’s local service network. The Patimban terminal is being developed as a strategic initiative aimed at alleviating cargo congestion and bolstering Indonesia’s automotive export market.
