Hoist has completed the installation of two single-girder overhead cranes, each with a lifting capacity of 1.25 tonnes, for an undisclosed customer. The cranes are supported by freestanding gantry steelwork, allowing both units to operate within the same bay.

Both cranes are fitted with Verlinde Eurochain VX electric chain hoists and have a 12.54m span with a 36m runway and 4.2m lifting height. The top-running design and chamfered bridge beam ends allow the cranes to work within the building’s portal frame while making the most of the available lifting height.

The installation features tandem radio controls and an anti-collision laser system to enhance safety during operation. Variable-speed inverters manage both cross and long travel, while the hoists provide two lifting speeds: 4 meters per minute and 1 meter per minute.
