HMMS WUT has placed an order for four new cranes with HD Hyundai Samho as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen cargo handling capabilities and improve operational efficiency. The investment aims to support higher cargo volumes while enhancing productivity at the company’s port operations.

The new cranes are anticipated to enhance lifting performance, accelerate cargo handling, and increase operational reliability. The companies state that this equipment will assist in optimising terminal operations and facilitate the handling of larger vessels, as well as accommodate growing trade demands.

The order reflects the growing global investment in advanced port equipment to improve logistics efficiency. For India, where major ports are expanding infrastructure and modernising cargo handling systems, similar investments in high-performance cranes will play a key role in boosting port productivity, reducing vessel turnaround times and strengthening the country’s maritime trade network.
