HHMC Bags RMG Crane Supply Deal for Jingtang Terminal

RMG Crane

Hyundai Heavy Industries Machinery & Equipment (HHMC) has secured an order to supply automated rail-mounted gantry (RMG) cranes for the Jingtang terminal at Tangshan Port in China. The project is part of the terminal’s ongoing modernization plans focused on improving automation and cargo handling efficiency.

The automated RMG cranes will be used for container yard operations and are designed to support higher productivity with reduced manual intervention. The system will help improve container movement, operational accuracy, and overall terminal efficiency as ports continue adopting smart logistics technologies.

Tangshan’s Jingtang terminal is expanding its automation capabilities to handle growing cargo volumes and strengthen port operations. Industry experts say the deployment of automated crane systems reflects the increasing global shift toward intelligent and digitally managed container terminals.
