Harold Potter has supplied a 30-metre span, 12.5-tonne Goliath crane to JRL Trent Precast at its Skelmersdale facility in England. The crane components have already arrived on site, with transportation carried out by WS Transportation. The crane legs were dispatched from Harold Potter’s workshop, while the main beam is currently being completed ahead of final installation.
The project forms part of JRL Trent Precast’s infrastructure expansion. JRL Trent Precast specialises in the manufacture of structural precast and GRC concrete units and operates facilities in Nottingham and Skelmersdale. The company is part of the wider JRL Group, which provides construction and civil engineering services across multiple locations in the UK.
Nottingham-based Harold Potter handled both the supply and installation of the crane. The company manufactures and supplies new and used overhead cranes, including Goliath and semi-Goliath models, and also provides crane maintenance, inspection and repair services. According to the company, all cranes undergo safety checks and are labelled with the appropriate safe working load before leaving the workshop.
