Express Global Logistics (EXG), in collaboration with its group company Megaload, has successfully completed a heavy-lift load-out and offshore installation project involving 18 significant marine structures for the extension of a liquid cargo berth. The structures comprised concrete topsides, jackets, berth platform structures, and LPU decks, with individual weights varying from 45 tonnes to almost 700 tonnes.

The operation used 48 SPMT axle lines, specialised barges and marine tugs to move the structures from fabrication areas to the load-out location and then transport them by sea. The offshore installation involved a controlled 6-metre lift during load-out and a further lift of about 8 metres at sea before the trestle was positioned on pre-installed pile caps. The work was carried out with detailed planning and continuous monitoring of tidal, wave, and wind conditions.
