Cochin Shipyard Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding with Synergy Marine Group to jointly pursue shipbuilding, ship repair, and conversion projects in India. The agreement aims to expand Cochin Shipyard’s commercial business in both newbuilds and vessel engineering projects.

The MoU covers ship repair, vessel conversion, new building, module fabrication, and oil and gas projects. It also includes technical and strategic support for Cochin Shipyard’s new building activities, covering areas such as project planning, execution, and quality assurance.

The partnership will combine Cochin Shipyard’s shipbuilding and repair facilities with Synergy Marine’s experience in engineering, project management, and technical ship management. The agreement comes as Cochin Shipyard continues to increase its focus on commercial shipbuilding and repair work for customers in India and overseas.
