Jige International has installed overhead crane systems provided by ABUS Levage France at its new facility in Longeville, France. This expansion adds 5,200 square metres of operational space, featuring four covered halls, three of which are designated for structural integration, manufacturing, and final assembly.
The crane systems are designed for both tandem and independent operation. One of the systems comprises two bridges, each with a capacity of 12.5 tonnes, enabling the company to manage Rotator structures weighing up to 18 tonnes. This investment is anticipated to enhance productivity, operational flexibility, and workplace safety.
For India’s manufacturing and engineering sector, the installation offers an example of how coordinated overhead crane systems can support the movement of heavy components across production areas. Such systems are relevant to manufacturers handling large structures, fabricated components, and heavy industrial equipment.
