Midtjydsk Kran & Elektro, a subsidiary of Nordic Drives Group, has successfully completed the installation of crane systems at the new manufacturing facility of Flexi Group in Denmark. This project encompasses five overhead travelling cranes, one jib crane, and related lifting equipment, all designed to enhance material handling across various production areas.

The installation includes two 1,000kg cranes and a jib crane in the welding section, while the sheet metal processing area features overhead cranes fitted with vacuum lifters to handle steel sheets weighing up to 1,000kg. The systems underwent mechanical alignment and safety testing before being handed over in April 2026.

For India’s steel fabrication and engineering industries, the project offers a practical example of how combining overhead cranes with vacuum lifting technology can improve sheet metal handling. Indian manufacturers involved in fabrication, welding, and assembly can use such integrated systems to reduce manual handling, improve material movement, and maintain safer production workflows.
