Tecon Rio Grande container terminal has received three new ship-to-shore (STS) cranes and six remote-controlled rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes. The equipment has been supplied by Chinese crane manufacturer ZPMC.

The new cranes will strengthen the terminal’s container handling capacity and support operations at the facility. The RTGs are equipped for remote operation, allowing container movements within the terminal to be managed more efficiently.

The equipment forms part of the terminal’s ongoing investment in cargo handling infrastructure. Tecon Rio Grande is operated by Wilson Sons and handles containerised cargo at the port.
