BANG Kransysteme has completed factory acceptance testing of two heavy-duty process cranes for SSAB’s rolling mill. The testing was carried out at the company’s facility, with teams from SSAB and Granitor Systems taking part in the inspection.

The order includes a 50t/15t overhead travelling crane with a 28m span and a 14t semi-gantry crane fitted with a vacuum lifting system. The cranes will be used to move steel slabs and support the feeding of the tempering furnace at the mill.

The factory tests included detailed checks of the cranes’ mechanical and electrical systems, along with the drives and cabin controls. Final adjustments will be completed based on the customer’s requirements before the cranes are delivered and commissioned at the steel plant.
