Enerpac’s Synchoist synchronous lifting system has been successfully used to position a massive electromagnet at the ITER fusion energy project, one of the world’s largest scientific research initiatives. The advanced lifting solution enabled engineers to carry out the complex operation with high levels of accuracy and control.
The Synchoist system was used to synchronise multiple lifting points, ensuring the heavy electromagnet was positioned safely and precisely during installation. According to the project team, the technology played a key role in maintaining load stability and meeting the strict engineering requirements of the fusion reactor project.
The successful lift underscores how precision lifting technologies can deliver greater safety, accuracy, and efficiency in large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects. For India, which is expanding investments in nuclear energy, heavy engineering, and advanced manufacturing, these innovations show how modern lifting systems can strengthen critical installations.
